What People Say
Your programs are a bright spot in each of our national holidays. They far excel anything produced these days by producers insulated in Hollywood, in their Madison Avenue(NY) concrete and glass towers, and inside the (Washington DC) Beltway.
WBRG
I love Jerry's gift of weaving the holidays together with relevant and powerful stories.

On this special program you’ll hear the story of John Bradford, a man that you probably don’t know his story, but you have probably quoted his famous saying more than once. You’ll be surprised why he said it, and why he was finally burned at the stack. You’ll hear the story of one Civil War soldier who was left for dead On the battlefield at Antietam – but he would not die. What kept him going? A promise to his wife – “No matter what, I’ll be home for Christmas”. Then, there’s the story of Martha, a girl I knew in the 8th grade. Of the cruel words she endured because of her appearance, but how a card, a belated Christmas card changed everything for her. Of course, there can be no Christmas program without the telling of the story of that first Christmas. Of a small Babe born to a world in desperate need of a Saviour, and how this small Babe touched all of mankind. It is a program sure to warm the hearts of your listeners and sure to make their Christmas season far more bright.
This Independence Day Tribute program, “I Pledge Allegiance”, is formatted to fit a one hour time slot and is 44 minutes in length. (listen to sample)
Just what is it that makes America such a successful nation? A big part of the answer is the heart and grit and determination of the American people. Over the years we have pledged our allegiance to America. On this program I’ll be talking about the different creeds and oaths and pledges which have kept us going as a nation, even through the darkest hours. You’ll also hear some amazing stories and facts about our presidents and other unbelievable stories in our history.
And what about the Washington Monument? Why is it the tallest structure in Washington D.C.? Why is it shaped the way it is? And why is there a plaque at the very top of that monument which no human eye can even see?
What is the worst shipwreck in U.S. history? No, it’s not the Titanic. Believe it or not, it wrecked not on the ocean, but on the Mississippi River. I’ll tell you that tragic story.
Finally, what is one of the most powerful prayers ever recorded in America, and Who is really in charge of our true homeland security?
How did America become the most successful labor nation in the world, and what is the key to our success? And what about all the great American inventions in our history, we’ll talk about those you know and some you may not know – there’s one I still can’t believe! Did you know there was a time in our nation’s history when we stood on the brink of absolute destruction, and what one president’s decision did to save us. Also, we’ll be talking about perhaps the most powerful 20 words ever spoken in America. You’ll hear the story of one man who was a dreamer and loved to put his dreams and ideas into stories. You’ll hear about one of his stories that was published but rejected by libraries as nonsense – today the film of that book is one of the most popular in all film history. Have you looked at the new presidential $1 coin? Have you noticed what is missing from the face of that coin? Are those missing pieces an omen of what is about to happen in our America? It’s been 5 years now since my dad passed away, but I still remember what he taught me as a boy. Why do I still remember what he taught me after almost 50 years? But, more importantly, why has our nation forgotten what our parents taught us?
This Veterans Day Special is formatted to fit a one hour time slot and is 44 minutes in length. (listen to sample)
This special includes the story of the Battle for Iwo Jima ... the way it REALLY happened, told by the men who were there! Have you ever wondered what the real story behind the raising of the flags on top of Mt. Suribachi? Listen to the men who were there.
Courage and faith were in epic form in this battle for the Pacific. Our debt to these Veterans can never fully be paid. Listen to this tribute and remember the men who paid the ultimate price for our nation and our freedom.
