"This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, and ask where the good way is, and walk in it. You will find rest for your soul."
Jeremiah 6:16 NIV
"The Little President Who Was A Giant"
By Jerry Stewart Vision Productions . Our shortest President in history was our fourth President James Madison. He was only 5'4" tall - a full 1 foot shorter than our tallest president Abraham Lincoln who was 6'4" tall.
But one very important fact you may not know about James Madison; he is known as the father of our U.S. Constitution because he played such a big part in its actual design.
For example, it was James Madison who came up with the idea of checks and balances that regulate our different branches in our government. He was the one who devised the plan assuring us that neither our president nor our Congress ever had too much power.
So what's the lesson to be learned from James Madison? Big things do come in small packages, and no matter what your size or stature you can make a difference.
How do we know? 5'4" James Madison proved it!
