"This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, and ask where the good way is, and walk in it. You will find rest for your soul."
Jeremiah 6:16 NIV

What is your most dangerous possession? A big dog? A gun? A fast car? These are certainly all potentially very dangerous, if used the wrong way, but they're not your most dangerous possession. Your most dangerous possession is your ability to chose...the choices you make in life. Why? Because the choices you make determine who you are and what you will become.

You see, we each make hundreds of choices every day. Who we'll associate with, where we'll go, even what we'll eat. But the sad thing is that so many people make so many bad choices. But, just how do we make good choices?

Here are three steps to follow:

1. Don't chose to do anything which will hurt you or someone else. So many of us are spending a lifetime regretting the hurt we've caused others.

2. Make no choice which will cause you later to have to lie or cover up. You see, lying gets you nowhere. In fact, a lie only makes things worse. My grandmother used to say, "What a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive".

3. This is the most important. Realize that choices do have consequences. You really will reap what you've sown. And it always takes much longer to fix something than it took to break it. The Bible says it this way, "Sow a wind...reap a whirlwind". So make the right'll never regret it.
