Pass the Salt, Please

In the Bible we are told that Christians are to be the salt of the earth. Just what does that mean? Well, think about it.

First, salt is in most all foods, even ice cream and pie. And, even though it doesn't make sense to our taste buds that salt should be in pie, if there is not salt, the pie tastes, sort of, flat.

Second, if you get enough salt, it sticks with you. It makes an impression.

Third, salt makes you thirsty. So what the Bible is saying is that we Christians are to be sprinkling the word everywhere, what we say and do is to have a lasting effect on others, and, most importantly, our words and actions are to make people thirst for Christ.

So, if those around us are not getting enough "salt", we have no one to blame but ourselves!
